My name is Kudzai Innocent Tonganai. I was born on the 13th of April 1989 in Harare. I joined the Claretian Missionaries on the 3rd of August 2013. During my year of candidacy, I was studying English and Computer Driver’s Licence, and I also was doing my apostolate at Tichakunda Pre-school and Secondary School in Hatcliffe Extension. I was admitted into postulants in 2014, and in August of the same year, I started my philosophical studies at Arrupe College. In June 2014, I was assigned by the community to Zhomba Mission in Gokwe for pastoral work. I did my pastoral work for one month. In the same year, I was assigned to St. Francis of Assisi centre, to teach catechism every Sunday. I taught catechism at this centre for two years. In May 2015 I was assigned by the community of Ruwa to go and teach at St. Vincent Secondary School in Ruwa. This pastoral work was scheduled for five weeks. From August 2016 to April 2017, I was assigned by the community to go and teach catechism to children at St. Dominic Parish. I finished my philosophical studies on the 20th of May 2017. On the 30th of June 2017, I left Zimbabwe for Kenya for the Novitiate. After that, on the 17th of July 2018 I made my first vows in the Congregation, professing poverty, chastity and obedience. After studying theology in Tanzania I am at Zhomba Community. I was ordained priest on the 14th Septemeber 2024.
