The Lay Claretian Movement in Zimbabwe is a group of people which follows St Anthony Mary Claret as their inspiration and Father. As followers of Claret our great task is to evangelize by all possible means so that the love of God may spread throughout the world. We re-present Christ who became fully incarnate in the world and for the world. The group follows the apostolic zeal of Claret in their secular daily lives, jobs and amongst family and friends. We are servants of the Word in the families, at work, in the different social groups to which we belong. We exercise the royal function by welcoming the gift of the Kingdom and extending it in ourselves, in society and in the whole of creation. We have been anointed by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Good News to the poor and to bring liberation to the captives. We carry a kind of Marian anointing to evangelize with the love and tenderness of the Mother of Jesus, of the Heart of Mary. God granted Claret the grace and mission of gathering many others who have the charism like his. The Claretian family invites all interested to join its many branches (Claretian Missionaries, Claretian Sisters or the Claretian Lay Movement).
Up to the moment, we are present in Zhomba Mission, Gokwe Diocese, and in two parishes of Harare Diocese: St. Charles Lwanga in Ruwa and St. Dominic in Zimre Park.
