ZHOMBA MISSION<\/h1>\n

\"\"The community in\u00a0Zhomba\u00a0has the commitment of the pastoral attention to the mission of this area in\u00a0Gokwe\u00a0Diocese. It was constituted as Mission Parish in 2005, building the existing structures in 2006. There are three missionaries serving\u00a0there at this moment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The community is working following the indications of the Diocese in the different fields, and team work is the Claretian sign of the missionaries serving there. The Pastoral plan of the community is integrated in the communitarian project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our context is of first evangelization, as less than 10% of the population\u00a0is Catholic.\u00a0<\/span>There are 18 centers in the Mission\u00a0summoned in three sub-parishes or pastoral areas. Many\u00a0parishioners\u00a0have to walk some kilometers to reach their place for prayer. It is a challenge when we organize a meeting or\u00a0some\u00a0workshops\u00a0for formation or prayer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a community, we prioritize the Small Christian Communities visiting them every year, the formation of the leaders and the catechists, the journey with the youth and their advisors, and the\u00a0different means to make this local Church to grow up in self-reliance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The parishioners\u00a0are organized in\u00a0four Lay Associations\u00a0or Guilds\u00a0that strengthen the responsibility of the members in their faith and services in the Church for the evangelization with the people.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally the Mission is also in charge of a new school from 2017.<\/p>\n
